Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center

The Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center is a research centre at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. As a data analyst I worked with large collections of data and released tools that other researchers could use.

What I worked on

Large-scale data analysis. I analysed substantial collections of data using mapping and statistical tools. Most of the work was about sources, matching, and interpretation before any conclusion could be drawn.

Shared tools. I wrote and released shared code so an analysis could be repeated and extended by other people rather than existing only in one person’s hands.

Outcome

This is where my interest in careful data analysis began: where the information comes from, whether it can be trusted, and how to make the result repeatable.
