Faraday, Inc.
Faraday is a predictive analytics platform. As a senior software engineer I worked across the data, the systems, and the internal tools that data scientists and customers rely on to turn what customers do into useful predictions.
What I worked on
Flexible data features. I built a way for data scientists to set up new measures and reports themselves, so they did not have to wait for a code change.
A flexible export tool. I led the work from the data behind it through the screen people used, so they could choose fields, transform data, and protect personal information.
A safe test environment. I built a place where engineers could try jobs against real data without mixing unfinished work into the live system.
Automated data updates. I turned a quarterly manual process into a routine non-engineers could run and troubleshoot, cutting turnaround from weeks to days.
Connected services. I added notifications so other applications could react when a long-running process changed status.
Outcome
The work moved data science and operations into self-service: features, exports, and data updates that once needed an engineer could be set up and run by the people who owned them.
